Solace
Solace is an app designed to support people living with seasonal depression (also known as seasonal affective disorder, or SAD). Solace is different to other generic mental health apps such as Calm or Headspace. Solace is a companion that doesn’t keep streaks
The UI design prioritises a calm environment, which is enhanced through imagery that reflects the weather, and typefaces that are not overly stimulating to the user, particularly on low energy days.

Brief
Create an app designed to support a specific mental health condition. Solace is designed for people with SAD who struggle with low mood, fatigue and struggle with daily tasks during the darker months.
Design
I carried out a SWOT* analysis to allow me to find the gaps in the current market for seasonal depression apps. My findings showed me that there was nothing like Solace, which gave me pain points to support my persona.
Result
